Sep 13, 2007- Ho Hum…

Not much going on right now so I don’t really have anything interesting to say. Didn’t want to add to the 9/11 discussion because I think enough has been said on that subject.

In the process of removing payload equipment from Endeavour, but that stuff isn’t exciting and we don’t fly until the beginning of next year. I’ll have more on that once things get interesting.

Oh… we are deservicing the freon loops so radiator removal preps can be worked (remember the hole?). Myself and another tech pulled all four Air Data Transducer Assemblies (ADTA) from Av bays 1 & 2 over the last 2 days. They are boxes that take the pitot tube pressures and convert them into digital signals that the avionics can interpret to give airspeed and altitude info to the flight crew during descent through the atmosphere. Two replacements have been installed by first shift yesterday and I expect that we will be installing or finishing the installation of the last two today. There is more going on but I don’t want to go into it. Not everyone cares about regular wrench turning stuff.

Other than that, things are pretty quiet. Haven’t flown since I sold the plane. Trying to get caught up with expenses like everyone else.
