Feb. 27, 2007- Hail Damage to Atlantis’ External Tank

Bad thunderstorm came through around 5.p.m. Monday and damaged the top of the external tank at the pad. Several cars received hail damage in the parking lots of the OPFs, VAB, and the pad. It is bad enough that I believe a roll back to the VAB will be done in order to repair the damage or swap out stacks with Endeavour’s tank & boosters. Get ready for a launch delay!

  1. It’s hard to find knowledgeable people on this matter, however you sound like you recognize what you’re talking about! Thanks
