Oct 10, 2006- My Pic with C. Yeager (kinda)

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention– the picture you see is me with Chuck Yeager’s lifesize bronze statue that was recently unveiled at Edwards AFB. I was on the contingency landing team out there for Atlantis’s STS-115 mission. The stone next to it is dedicated to his breaking of the sound barrier back on Oct. 14, 1947. Both of these are on the corner of an intersection across from the library (I think). Kinda weird because it isn’t a park or memorial of anything, but I guess they have so much space out there you can put stuff around and eventually it will fill in.

  1. It’s onerous to find knowledgeable individuals on this subject, but you sound like you understand what you’re speaking about! Thanks
